She embraced her role as certified Professional Coach as the result of finding her own life purpose following a job loss and finding the love of her life, after the end of a 23-year relationship. She became a speaker and author as a result of an experiment she undertook after the sudden death of her husband.

A Certified Professional Geologist with a Master’s Degree, Susan invested more than twenty years in the environmental field where she was recognized early in her career for her management and motivational abilities. Receiving a project management award in 1988, she grew to eventually support the development of 130 employees; managed multimillion dollar budgets and projects; ran two of her own small businesses; and served as a national trainer in project and risk management and as adjunct faculty at a major university. Her life transitions have included marriage, divorce, remarriage, widowhood, parenting, step-parenting and empty-nesting.
