Kathleen Pinckard’s Middle Grade Novel is a Finalist for the Colorado Gold Contest

Kathleen PinckardCongratulations to Kathleen Pinckard for being a finalist in the 2014 Colorado Gold Contest for her middle grade novel, Never Believe a Lie Twice. Hundreds of authors enter the annual Colorado Gold Contest, which is organized by Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers.

Never Believe a Lie Twice is a story about second chances and lies.  When 13-year-old  Sage’s con artist father dies, he is sent to live with grandparents he never knew he had.  While he is there, he discovers that his father was blackmailing his grandfather’s brother for the murder of an Evansville tycoon. Must Sage choose between collecting the million-dollar reward or staying with a family he has grown to love?

Kathleen has a juris doctor from Western State University. She teaches writing, law, ethics and management for the University of Redlands and Cypress College in California.  Her favorite loves are writing and playing the piano.  She is the author of a series of children’s books, including Dylan’s Story:  Coming to America, based on her rescue dog.
